30 YEARS of being “Hooked on Harry’s!!”

Let’s Celebrate 30 years of being “Hooked on Harry’s!”

This June 24th marks the day Harry’s first opened for business 30 years ago.  Harry’s began with the Grand Opening of the new festival shopping center, The Jacksonville Landing, located in the heart of downtown on the St. John River.  It was a day of celebration for Jacksonville as The Landing was built toward revitalizing downtown and showcasing the City’s beautiful river.   With 20 stools, Harry’s Oyster Bar prospered as a popular lunch spot and gathering place for fresh shucked oysters and cold beer for many years until sold.

30 years later we approach this landmark date with that same Celebratory enthusiasm that marked our beginning.  We are recognizing this milestone with an exciting promotion during June and July featuring some great dishes developed under the direction of Chef Bennett, a Free $30 Gift Card offer, and some other exciting promotional ideas.

It’s really hard to believe 30 years have gone by.  So many wonderful people from the start have contributed to the development and sustainability of Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille.  A couple guys from  Baton Rouge, Bill and Stan, kicked us off with our New Orleans/Louisiana theme by introducing Gumbo, Etouffée, Red Beans to our first menu offerings.  We still use the same classic recipes.   There have been so many others led by a guiding principle of Constant And Never-ending Improvement (CANI) that are responsible for getting us here today.  But most of all, THANK YOU to our guests for continuing to make Harry’s what it is today. Without you, the past 30 years would not have been possible!

We look forward to celebrating this with you and bringing to life the spirit of Good Food, Good Times and all the Flavors of New Orleans…. Let the Good Times Roll!!   ~~ Louie Saig, Founder and President
